Excursion to The Great Barrier Reef

G'day!

When we woke up this morning, the weather was beautiful. The sky was clear and the temperature was perfect. We ate a delightful breakfast at the hotel, went back to our room, made sure that we had got our money, camera and tickets for the excursion, and then we were ready for our next stop, The Great Barrier Reef.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world largest reef system, stretching over a distance of more than 2000 kilometers along the Queenland coast at the north-east of Australia. It is so large that it can be seen from space! The reef has got a diversity of life, among them more than 1500 species of fish, 400 species of coral, 4000 species of molluscs, 500 species of seaweed, 16 species of sea snakes and 215 species of birds. It has been the best experience so far, so if you have the opportunity to visit the reef, you really should.

After the exclusion, we went shopping at the dockside, The Bondi Beach Market. We were amazed by how overwhelmingly big the market was! Everywhere you walket, it was stands where they sold everything from delicious food to clothes and jewellery. We could easily have spent more time here, but I suppose we would leave the marked broke, then.

Oh, and before we forget to tell you guys, we had to take the bus over The Harbour Bridge, a bridge between Sydney Ventral Business district and the North Shore. The bridge is 134 meters tall and over 1 kilometer long, and it was such a wonderful view over the city. We can clearly see why it's one of the most famous landmarks in The land down under. Hopefully we'll get some time to go visit the Sydney Opera House as well, before we leave.
