Hello,
It's our last day here in Singapore - and the end of our journey. Yeah, we're actually going home to Norway. In fact we've already packed our bags and checked out of the hotel. It's sunny and 25 degrees. In other words it will be difficult to go home to three degrees and rain, though we suppose it will be nice to see our family and friends again, as well as eating normal, Norwegian food. We must admit we've missed that a bit.
Not only has this journey made us more grown up, it's also been a path to knowledge and wisdom for cultural values. It has opened our eyes of other cultures lifestyles, who are very different from ours in Norway. The people here for instance, are much more polite, disciplined and helpful, and Singapore is a lovely example of how a country can mix and have a nice balance with both old- and modern architecture. We kind of feel sorry for them not having snow, seasons and like us, though.
So in brief we've learned three things: 1. There is no place like home, 2. Carpe Diem - seize the day! - and last but not least; 3. To travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries. Have a moment and think about that.
Although we've missed home, we've always had activities to do, and we've made memories for life. We will defiantly go back there one day, and remember, a wise man once said "Not all those who wander are lost", so a big thank you to those who have been reading our blog.
